This mug defines and summarizes the basic uses of the metacharacters. It goes on to demonstrate most common escape characters, and give some brief coverage of more advanced features of many "flavours" of regular expression parsers. It is a great way for the occasional programmer/hacker to keep track of the basic components of regular expressions that together form a very powerful toolset.
