As you’ll no doubt have discovered by now, our birthday card department is practically bulging with beautiful, high-quality products. But despite the vast number of products we have on site, we’re still welcome to new interpretations on the humble birthday invitation. Thanks to our design tool, you can completely change the look and feel of any existing template – or even construct a new design from scratch!

• Step 1: Go to our custom birthday invitation page. We’ve also included a couple of other party products and favours here, such as badges and cards.
• Step 2: Select a blank birthday invitation template. The default is a ‘Flat Invitation,’ and you can adjust the shape of the template by hovering over the icons beneath the thumbnail.
• Step 3: Click on the image and you’ll be taken to the product page. Here, you can decide on the size, style and paper type. You can learn more about each option by clicking on ‘Compare Papers,’ ‘Details’ and ‘Learn More.’
• Step 4: Add images, text and design elements in Zazzle's design tool - this is where you'll add your own personal touch to your product!
• Step 5: Click 'Done' and see your final design! Depending on the size of your event, you’ll need to adjust the ‘Qty.’ figure – found alongside the ‘Add to Cart’ button – accordingly. There’s a bulk discount when you order at least 25 invites!

Whether you’re buying an online birthday invitation or a product from a brick-and-mortar store, the rules for writing and addressing invites remain the same. At the very least, include the date, time, venue, and occasion being celebrated, but you could also add RSVP information, questions regarding dietary requirements, the duration of the party, the dress code if applicable and any gift preferences. It’s likely that you won’t be planning your own party, of course, and that you’ll be consulting with the guest of honour as you put together the invites. In that case, be sure to take their thoughts into consideration – it is their special day, after all, and you don’t want to end up serving food they don’t like or scheduling a party they won’t be in town to attend!
