Our printing process is automated - every design goes from your computer straight to the t-shirt without ever touching paper or a screen in between. We've engineered this system from the ground up to produce an amazing product every single time you order. Unlike most production processes that operate best in volume, we assume that every single product is one-of-a-kind - different from the one before it.
Our team takes great care when creating your t-shirt order. First, we pick the blank shirt from our just-in-time inventory and carefully check for any issues or defects. Next, we take it to the printing station and position it on the printer. We press "go" and then our technology kicks into overdrive and your design automatically comes to life on the t-shirt.
Continually Testing
Here at Zazzle, we're constantly looking for ways to improve our products to give you the absolute best no matter what. We take our quality seriously, and if you don't love it, we'll take it back. With everything we do, we test once, test twice, and test again. With our new dark apparel process, we started testing the inks, the printers, the treatments, and finally the heating methods. Yes, we've tested nearly every option from freezers to pizza-ovens.
And every time we tweaked our process, we washed our samples. Over and over again. We bought detergents from nearly every corner of the globe. Powders, liquids, and even capsules. Our laundry machines have done more loads than they ever imagined. But now we know that when you wash Zazzle dark apparel, you'll be able to wear it forever, until you wear it out.
From Zazzle to you
Once your shirts are printed, we have many pairs of eyes making sure your shirt is in tip-top shape before it goes into the mail. Our quality control team confirms your order, checks your print quality, and then folds them just so for packing. Anything that doesn't look right goes to the front of the line, gets printed again, and checked even more closely the next time. If we wouldn't want to wear it, we won't send it.
After this, your t-shirt gets packed, labeled, and sent on its way. This whole process almost always happens within 24 hours. Once it's shipped, using one of our great shipping partners, we trust that it arrives quickly and safely at your home or its final destination. We like to think it's no different than ordering from a store, except that it's completely customized for you.
