When my husband's service in the NAVY was coming to an end I decided to commemorate his time in the Navy by creating a series of drawings and paintings of the ships he had served on. I presented them to him after his last Hale and Farewell. He loved the gift, and so did many of his Navy friends. After experiencing the enjoyment my husband received over receiving the paintings I am now working on painting portraits of the rest of the ships and submarines currently stationed at NAVAL Station Norfolk. Although my focus may be NAVAL station Norfolk I will be including other ports and decommissioned ships in the process so that all the honorable men and woman who have served our country in the NAVY can have the chance to enjoy a piece of artwork that commemorates their career.
