About
I had always wondered what my Christian calling was to be. I waited and tried to be patient in hearing God's plan for my life. I never felt a calling to preach or teach the Gospel but knew He had a plan for me. I was never comfortable witnessing to others unless they approached me first. But I knew the power of God's word and had experienced such a spiritual awakening from it. I have always been an artist. I loved creating and designing as well as a love for photography.
I had a job at a security company for a few years and in that time met a young man who was married and had a family. He and his family were also Christians and we began to chat and learn more about each other with each nightly call I made to his work to make sure he was ok. One evening I heard music in the background of our conversation and inquired about it. He said a fellow worker recorded it for him and that if I liked it he would send me a copy for Christmas. I decided to send him also a Christmas gift and downloaded a few of my photographs onto a CD and sent it on to him. The next time I made a security call to his workplace he answered and began telling me I already had a calling. It was my photography. I will never forget the words he spoke to me that night! He said, "If you put God's word onto your photographs they come alive and become healing and hope in a hurting world." That very night when I got home I began searching the scriptures to put onto my photos. It became an easy process as I felt God's hand on the choosing. Years later, and over a thousand photographs that God and I have taken together, I have created "Into the Light" a photographic journey of healing and hope in a hurting world for everyone to experience God's love and Grace.
