The Folk Brush

I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley, and at that time did not know I lived only 40 miles from the Virginia farm of Grandma Moses. I discovered her work at a show at the National Gallery in Washington in 1978. Her wonderful paintings inspired me to paint the country folk subjects I loved in her work. As a result, I've been painting folk art for over 30 years, using traditional paints and brushes. Now, I've fallen in love with digital art and with fun of merging my own photos, ephemnera and original art within the same piece. It's just pure fun! I hope you find something to like here.
