Did not come with magnetic back. This was the whole reason I chose this design. Did not want one that has to make holes in clothing.

The pen is a terrible pen. It doesn't write well at all. I've always been willing to pay more by going with Zazzle vs Vistaprint which was cheaper so it was very disappointing to see the pen wasn't very functional.
