Welcome to Sunshinesketches, a place to find cute, happy and funny art. My characters are mostly animals, often cats, illustrated in watercolors or pencil. I've been painting ever since I was able to hold a brush, and some number of years ago I turned it from hobby to my full-time profession. If my art has made you smile, then I consider my job to be done. Most of the cats you see in my work are my own kitties. My little tuxedo muse is named Tessa, and when she's not creating mayhem, she's my muse. When I'm not painting, I'm creating jewelry from the sea glass that I collect, photographing animals and nature, and spending time with my people-family and fur-family.
