Stockboy Emporium

Introduction: Freelance photographer, Glenn Bauer, was born in Rhodesia, Southern Africa in 1969 and grew up with three sisters and a brother on farms and in rural towns. “My father, a farm manager, was an adventurer at heart and we moved quite often which was great as there was always something new to see around the corner.” Glenn is married, has one son and has relocated to Wiltshire, England from where he now plans to explore his ancestral home and the world abroad. Artist’s Statement: I can’t believe how lucky I am to be able to practise photography! On any given day I’ll have new ideas of locations, subjects and digital processes I want to work through. Some ideas are sparked by other images I’ve seen, a lot are painted in highlights by the light and lie of the land while others are inspired by concepts. I always feel twangs of excitement and anticipation as I lift my DSLR to take that picture. I obviously enjoy compliments, but am never fussed by anything critical as I’m usually my biggest critic in any event. Favourite Quote: “Let there be light and there was light” Genesis.
