As a cashier there are so many things we wish we could say. But can't. Don't get me wrong we love our customers. We sometimes we need an outlet. In addition I would like to bring awareness to disabled people. Disabled are people too, they have feelings. Some can't express themselves. So I have taken on the task of being an advocate. Please remember the word Retarded is hurtful. Using it nonchalantly in casual conversation is wrong and very hurtful. I don't want my daughter brought up to think she is less than anyone else because she has Down Syndrome. She is a person like anyone else. I also have friends who have children with autism. Every child needs love. They have enough obstacles lets not put them down. Retarded is NOT a bad thing.
