My Mission My mission is to serve God and express my faith through my art in order to share my personal walk with the Lord and encourage fellow believers in this ever changing world. My Story…. I worked for a priest a number of years ago and we would have some interesting conversations. One of those conversations regarded what my true calling might be. I had worked as a church secretary for a few years and while I had a desire to serve in some faith based capacity, it was dawning on me that my current position was not illuminating my best. He said that he felt my calling was more out in the world. He also told me to remember I am part of the church even as my work is in the world (basically meaning not within the church in a traditional sense). At that time I did not know that would lead me to an artistic path. So about a decade later I discovered my spiritual gift was craftsmanship. You won’t find anything specifically about craftsmanship in the New Testament. You will find it in the book of Exodus. “And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze,…. (Exodus 35:31-32). All born again believers have at least one spiritual gift and this one, at least, I know I have been given. My whole life I have had an interest in the arts and crafts, but alas, it did not make sense to go into art, so it stayed a pastime for me until…. I had an existential crisis. I was in a job I didn’t like and it was getting harder every day to be in it. Eventually I spoke with a counselor and during that time, I decided to experiment with taking my scrapbooking art to the next level and doing it on traditional canvas as apposed to pages. As I continue to grow in my faith, I wish to share that gift with fellow believers and others as a ministry as well as a business.
