Seratonin Telegram

an amalgam consisting of a displaced troubadour, a shamanistic reverend, and a man of Dali proportions. Planted in the murky swamps of the lower Mississippi River and blossoming in the windy city of Chicago, Seratonin Telegram looks to push the rock music envelope by playing the unique tunes that come to them. Chris Harris hails from the City of New Orleans. He cut his teeth playing in various bands in many venues across the Greater New Orleans area, most notably in Seratonin Telegram at The Howlin' Wolf. After Hurricane Katrina, Chris stuck around for 2 years to help his family piece their lives back together. Once everything was as right as it could be, he moved to drier and more opportunistic pastures - those pastures being the City of Chicago. Chris is a multi-instrumentalist and lends his voice and talents to aid in the Telegram's sound. Jack Tamraz (aka Dr Pangloss) is a chronic fixture in the vast avant-garde post-modern classical scene. Abandoned by wolves and later adopted by exotic cats, he provides a Benben stone for the Telegram. Stunningly adequate on many instruments, he excels behind a drumkit (as evidenced by an unusual ability to count past four). His nemesis is the metronome. Jack often claims to be the discarded love child of Bjork, an ottoman, and Hunter S. Thompson. Alex Kitley is a multi-instrumentalist from Michigan. Since implanting himself into the burgeoning garden that is Chicago’s music scene, Alex has served tenures in bands such as Ovo, Catch the Bear, Transient, and Volle. Alex often ponders question such as: “what bass line to play,” “Jazz, Progressive, Classical,” “should it fall back to another place miles & miles away,” and “alternate tuning or a super hero theme song?” Whatever question Alex faces, he is sure to exuberantly and emphatically answer with something along the lines of, “Put me in coach!” Whitaker Blackall was raised on the piano, but also plays the guitar and sings. He has played every style there is, from jazz to rock to classical to complete randomness. He lived in five states before he found himself in Chicago teaching elementary and high school music in the Elmhurst school district. Whit is a recent addition to Seratonin Telegram and hopes he can lend his talents to their already awesome sound.
