Safdasan

A native of New York City's El Barrio (East Harlem), I have been drawing since I was a young child. Although I have had some formal training in art, I am mostly self-taught. For nearly two decades, I created logo and character designs for people in the music industry, and other entrepreneurs. Some of my past clients include Biz Markie, MC Lyte, DJ Doc, and EPMD. After time passed, I found that I missed the joy I felt when I was drawing and decided to shift my energy to doing what I truly enjoy and now work as a full-time freelance illustrator. While I still work in traditional mediums, most of my work is digital and the programs I use most often are Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate. Regardless of the project, my goal is to create an illustration that not only captures an image or likeness, but that also creates a mood and tells a compelling story.
