About

After graduating with degrees in both Graphic Design and Advertising in 1990, I quickly learned that my portfolio wasn't the only thing employers wanted to see. No, not that—they wanted to see some computer skills! Luckily, I had both. As a self-taught digital artist, I had no formal computer training. I saw the Mac as a fun new toy, full of possibilities. After 16 years, I feel the same way—and I've got a mean case of carpal tunnel syndrome to prove it. Illustrators, whether using a brush or a mouse, utilize problem-solving skills and their God-given talent to create a new perspective on just about anything. And the really good part is, we get paid to do it. If I’m not working in my studio in Houston or playing with my daughters Hope & Zoe, I’m driving all over Texas “spreading the word of Illustration” to my students at Texas State University. My clients include Coca Cola, Kellog’s, VERB, Fisher-Price, Texas Monthly Magazine, Men’s Health Magazine, Hasbro and Computer City. I’ve been fortunate enough to earn medals in many national, regional and local award shows, participate in group gallery shows, and do speaking engagements. Thanks for looking & let me know if you like anything you see, - Robin (if you don’t like any of my work - I really don’t want to hear about it)
