Power-Up Art & Design

Power-Up Art and Design was created to bring my artistic interpretations of 8-Bit videos games to a wider audience. The nostalgic popularity of 8-bit video games has inspired my interest in revisiting the Nintendo NES games I played growing up in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. This has led to an ongoing series of original paintings which serve as an homage to my favorite games from this era. In keeping with my painting style, I have reduced the visual information in the game to a more minimal interpretation in the paintings. All game characters and graphic pixelations are eliminated, resulting in a more flat, hard-edged painting aesthetic. Thank you for visiting!
