Many of the images that have recurred in my work over the years first came to me through dreams. In a world increasingly pervaded by technology, I have been drawn to natural themes. Nature is a grounding place, where inspiration, insight and creativity can flourish. I often draw upon archaeology and myth for subject matter and images as well. I pay close attention to intuition and the emotional responses in myself that show up while I’m painting. I welcome serendipity. You may recognize an element of play in my work … a whimsy moment … and hopefully something unexpected.
