Geraldine Walkup began painting at a young age. When she decided to become a teacher she knew she needed to teach art. Between teaching middle school art, becoming the Visual Art Consultant for her school district and now guiding young student teachers on their own paths, art has always been at the center of career. Geraldine’s life has always been anchored around her belief that family is the most important gift. Therefore, most of her time is spent with her husband, their two girls and their families. She loves taking her grandson’s to museums and introducing them to the world of art the same way she did with her own daughters. In recent years she has found herself painting more with acrylics and watercolors and she loves focusing on floral arrangements and capturing landscapes while she is traveling.
