About

Illustrating airplanes is a life-long habit for Matt. As a school kid, he filled school notebooks (intended for math, science, etc.) with sketch after sketch of airplanes and military hardware. A sizable portion of any money he earned ended up in model airplanes, which quickly filled up his bedroom. At age 15, he was spending that money on sailplane flying lessons. He was an avid reader who read anything and everything pertaining to military heroes, especially the early pilots and aircrews of World Wars One and Two. It was a natural thing for Matt to serve in the military, and at seventeen he enlisted in the US Marine Corps Reserve, while attending an aviation college. He was commissioned in the US Air Force in 1991, serving as an air battle manager. He retired after 26 years of military service. Matt is a private pilot and illustrator who enjoys researching the history of fascinating people and their aircraft. The World War Two experience, in particular, is an endless source of new material for him. Matt is excited to build an enterprise that honors all of our veterans' unique contributions to our freedom and our national character.
