I have always lived on the coast it has strongly influenced my work. Capturing the effects of light and the influences of the seasons reflecting over the ocean are endless sources of inspiration. My pockets are always filled with treasures picked up from the shore, things that have travelled and been shaped by the tide - I love to paint recording the marks left by the sea, their sometimes faded colours, textures and patterns.
