I started two series of art work: state birds for the USA using colored pencils and the alphabet of American Sign Language with my Deaf son as the hand model using photos and Photoshop. Each ASL alphabet card also has images in a collage that begin with that letter. The list of images is on the back of each card so a person can make sure they've found each image; kind of like a hidden objects game. I've always loved using colored pencils and I love birding so I decided to combine the two. I'm still working on the state birds but do have several finished. After the state bird series I plan to begin a state flowers series.
