Kids 4 Healing

Kids 4 Healing was created in April, 2014 by our founder 13-year-old Katelyn Peterson, because she wanted to make a difference in the lives of those battling Cancer. When Katelyn discovered how many Cancer patients were without in-home health care, medicines and other necessary services, Katelyn wanted to do something about it. There are a number of governmental programs services that are available in most areas. Many of these services are age or need specific, so if a patient does not meet these requirements they will be unable to qualify. There are a smaller number of services available to low income patients that are not age or need specific. However, the approval and wait times for these services can take up to six months. This is unacceptable. Patients and families need these services rapidly and cannot wait. Katelyn formed Kids 4 Healing, as a way to raise money, and network with service providers to provide these services to Cancer patients. Because we are not governmentally funded, and are not associated with any insurance companies, we have more flexibility in approving providers, and in approving clients to receive services. Our programs are 100% funded by your donations, fundraisers and product sales. Contracting at discounted rates with service providers and fundraising allow us to provide the services patients desperately need.
