About

I moved to Los Angeles in 1963 and immediately got a job as a Playboy Bunny in the club that had just opened. Shortly thereafter I wrote a book about it, which was published, and my picture was in the New York Times. In addition, I appeared on the Regis Philbin Show, and several others talk shows, to promote the book. That same year I got together a female anti-war band I called "Mother's Quaker Oats. We had three black women and two white women singing anti-war songs like "I Didn't Raise My Boy To Be a Soldier," a World War 1 hit and, "Hello Central, Give me No Man's Land." (The Greatful Dead played on the record, as well as Van Dyke Parks.)My band was signed by Bill Cosby's record label, "Tettragramaton." I conceived of the poster, "Some Day," to protest racism. My point was Some Day there will be no more racism in America, and Some Day we could have a black president. My dream came true, the Civil Rghts Bill was passed and we now have a black president. What a great country America is. The book I am writing entitled, "My Stolen Prime Time Life" will have the poster you are buying on the cover. It was a classic and sold like crazy in the early1960's
