About

My name is Jack H. Dean III and thanks for visiting my webpage. I was born, raised, and still live in a rural communtity in Northern Kentucky. My first remembrance of watching wildlife is of me sitting on my great grandmother's back porch, watching birds that we fed from a metal garbage can lid that she had turned upside down and put bricks under it to stabilize it. I have been hooked ever since. As much as I would love to do photography full time, I am pretty much just a weekend warrior for the time being. I bought my first SLR camera when I was 19 and just about everything I know about photography was self taught. When I first started, I only took photos of wildlife, but since then I have started doing landscapes and farm scenes. The majority of my photos were taken while hiking, driving country roads, riding my johnboat, and on occasion I will get stationary and set up a blind.
