About

Sometimes, we categorize people into either analytical, left-brain nerds or creative, right-brain artists, and I’ve been blurring the lines between these two boxes all my life. On one hand, I like to draw anatomically correct hearts and will place my liver painting on a shirt such that it sits where the liver is approximately (I’m on the road to becoming a doctor, so maybe I’ll have a more accurate placement soon enough). However, I found it particularly creative to overlay abstract animal designs on top of photos I had taken in South Africa where I had seen said animals, and I’ve spent hours perfecting what I think the cosmos looks like without hanging out in space. Maybe the intersection is the image of a mitochondria running on a never ending treadmill, generating energy for our bodies day in and day out. Hence, we have a hodgepodge, a confused mixture of my zoological tendencies and geek mindset, as well as bricolage, creations made from my diverse interests. P.S. You can find me on Facebook: /hodgepodgebricolage or Instagram: @hodgepodgebricolage which are both great places to bother me and give me ideas for what to make next!
