Jack Sherry has a background in advertising space sales. He has sold ad space for a pennysaver, trucking magazine, on pizza box tops, and in church bulletins. He has been involved in Revolutionary War re-enacting since 1980. During his teaching career, a colleague one day, said to him, "You know, when you turn your head a certain way, you look like Ben Franklin. His wife confirmed it later. Thus was born his career as a Ben Franklin impersonator. He has given talks in the role of Ben Franklin to schools, historical societies, libraries, and senior citizen groups. He as appeared on the television shows Good Morning America, Fox and Friends and in a documentary for National Geographic titled Ben Franklin's Pirate Fleet. Jack has met many people in his varied career who are artists, performers, and impersonators. Franklin North River is a marketing company created to help those people become better known and to grow their businesses. The Franklin name came from his work as Ben Franklin. The North River came from the original name for the Hudson River. Jack and his wife, Celeste, live near the Hudson River and have a deep love for it and its natural beauty.
