Flyingcowdesigns

I have created a variety of paper mache sculptures which are often called whimsical, but I call generally silly. I guess this is because it expresses my wishful world view; a view through rose colored and sparkly lenses with twisty frames. Why see the world the way it is when there are other ways that are so much more amusing. I enjoy experimenting and pulling ideas from one field and applying them to another. I will often get an idea for a piece of sculpture and instead of following the usual step A with step B, I will say “What if I try Q instead”. I also enjoy creative challenges, because it spurs new ideas with getting to learn new methods and use new creative “toys”. My family has said I have creative attention deficit issues, I say there are just too many cool crayons in the box not to try them all. I see art as all around us, who we are and how, or what we do. I enjoy sharing this part of myself with others and seeing that smile when someone relates to my work.
