I graduated as an engineering Major in 2008 and got laid off in May 2010. Luckily I receive unemployment and live at home, otherwise I would probably be homeless by now. I'm an aspiring writer with two novels currently being queried while I attempt to self-publish a third. Between that, my blog, and sending resumes to virtually every engineering firm in Western New York, I find myself secretly wondering if I even want another engineering job. I feel I'm a more talented writer than I am an engineer. Unfortunately writing is not bringing me any money. It is time to change that.
