Hi visitor! My name is Deanna, and I am a high school senior from Tampa, FL. I have volunteered for a program called Camp Jenny for the past two years, and I will be returning this year as well. Camp Jenny is a program that partners with an elementary school in Atlanta to provide a sleep-away camp experience for impoverished students over Memorial Day Weekend each year. The students don’t have to spend a single penny – they earn their ticket through good grades, behavior, attitude, and parent involvement. Camp Jenny is run by volunteers from the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), a Reform Jewish youth movement that spans across the continent. In order to run Camp Jenny, almost $75,000 in donations must be raised each year. This store is meant to help raise money while also spreading the Camp Jenny cheer.
