In 2004 I took my first botany class, which ended up being a life-changing experience. In order to learn about all the plant families and taxonomy, we drew specimens as we learned about them. Already an artist with a studio in Seattle's Pioneer Square, I was engrossed in the work, and ended up becoming a professional botanist, working seasonally throughout the western US as well as into the neotropics. Inspired by the variety of formations nature creates, much of my artwork became focused on botanical specimens. This store includes some of my favorites, applied to a variety of objects that are whimsical and useful, for your daily life.
