As an artist and writer I've had the privilege and pleasure to create images of the animals, real and imagined, that have touched my heart and made me smile. Some were flesh and fur, feathers or hide. But, they are real to me, they move, and make sounds, get in my way and cheer me up when life gets hard. This year I felt the need to create critters that would make me smile. I liked them so much that I've used them on objects, clothing, cups, i-phones and calendars. These days don't we all need a smile?
