SCIENCE + ART = BLUE JAY BAY Hello and welcome to my Zazzle shop! My name is Emily Caven, and I am a nature-loving Scientist-Artist hybrid. My educational background is in things such as plants and maps, and I worked for many years as a research scientist and cartographer. My paintings are fun and vibrant celebrations of the subject matter, appealing to nature lovers, travelers, happiness seekers, and gift givers. I am inspired by the amazing brilliance of the natural world, and am drawn to hues of blue and green. I approach map making as an artistic expression, and love to illustrate the gentle curves and bold lines of cars, trucks, birds, and so much more. My art is a mixture of realistic and abstract interpretations, and I am very fond of lively, dynamic color schemes. I often paint with a limited palette, using just two paint colors in a single piece of art. This Zazzle shop features some of my unique artwork on apparel and other fun products.
