Areeya is a unique artist, in the Las Vegas art scene. She is exploring her vision of elemental and mystical art with a tribal feel. Giving birth to a new form of art meditation with the versatile healing capabilities of color therapy. Areeya was encouraged over the years to explore many creative paths. She has delved into sketching, painting, the sacred art of Hula, ritual theater, and jewelry design. She is a flautist, but recently found a love for percussion instruments. Areeya combines many of these art forms to create a vibrant and unique expression of contemporary art, focusing on the use of color for wellness. Areeya currently enjoys working in several mediums including: acrylics, color pencils, charcoals, stained glass jewels, Swarovski crystals and mirrors. Whenever possible, she enjoys creating pieces that are tactile as well as visually therapeutic. Influenced by many of her peers, the Las Vegas street artists, as well as, those abroad. It is Marc Chagall's vibrant use of colors in his paintings and stained glass art that touch her most profoundly. Areeya's work can be viewed regularly on the West side, at the Go Raw Cafe by the Lakes in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also featured regularly at the Arts Factory in the Blue Sky Gallery located downtown Las Vegas, in the Arts District. She is currently active in facilitating ritual theater in her local community, and abroad, in her journey to perpetuate wellness and self transformation. She has been a resident artist with the Las Vegas N.O.I.S.E Project in the art district for three years. Areeya is also currently a resident artist for Jeff McBride's Wonderground. Areeya has become more involved with community projects in Las Vegas, and abroad, donating her time to local events and schools for at risk children. Areeya's most current project is production of a Children Peace Walk Art Installation for Earth Day 2011. She offers art meditation workshops for personal wellness,in private sessions or groups sessions. Areeyaworld Art is affordable artwork, with its emphasis on color therapy, in a multitude of meditative and magickal visions, through greeting cards and prints. Now available in select shops and boutiques.
