"Yellowstone Cutthroat" by Jackie Carpenter, I caught my first Cutthroat when I was 6 years old. It was very early, around 6:00 a.m. and I was half frozen waiting for him to take my fathers bait. My dad knew I was excited to catch a Cutthroat, but they were just not interested in my wiggling line. So when he got one hooked he ran over and let me reel her in. OK, I really didn't catch it but it was one of the most exciting moments in my fishing career up to that point. My father began taking me fishing as soon as I could walk. I love those memories. The Yellowstone Cutthroats are some of the most colorful trout around and are native to the west and up into Alaska. This painting is bright, bold and very beautiful.
