Yellow Crown-vetch, Unalaska Island Postcard
Yellow crown-vetch is an introduced species to Unalaska Island. It can be found growing in a large patch near the road just before turning into the O. S. I. area of Captain's Bay. It is in the same family as sweet peas and has similar leaves. The flowering stem is upright, but the compound leaves trail out around it like vines. There is an old cement foundation in the area where it was found.
