This quonset hut is a relic from WWII. Huts like this one were built and covered with earth to disquise them from aircraft. Many are underground and fortified with concrete. This quonset hut in the Captain's Bay area of Unalaska Island has a Russian willow growing on its crown, surrounded by salmonberry bushes. The owners of the property used an old lifering from a boat to post a sign: NO BERRY PICKING!
