The Campaign of the Aleutians was a counter offensive measure during WWII to prevent the Japanese from using the Aleutian Islands as a base of operations for invasion the U.S. This lookout bunker is a relic of WWII, located on Bunker Hill, which stands on the south end of Dutch Harbour, Alaska. This bunker is one of many military structures which remain as historical sites on Unalaska Island and the area surrounding Dutch Harbour, Alaska, which served as a centre of operations for the Campaign of the Aleutians.
