Wrapping Paper Set - Victorian Roses Collage

Wrapping Paper Set - Victorian Roses Collage

Carbon dating has proven that wild roses were around more than 35 million years ago. According to ancient Hindu writings, the goddess, Lakshmi, was created from the petals of 108 large and 1,008 small roses. It is said that roses, in the Garden of Eden, were thornless and it was only after Adam and Eve were expelled that the thorns appeared. Another Christian legend tells us that roses were born from the blood, of the crucified Jesus, dripping on the ground beneath the cross. Many stories associate roses with Venus; others, with Aphrodite. In Grecian mythology, it was the lovely Aphrodite, goddess of love, that created the rose. White roses sprung from the sea foam that surrounded her as she rose from the sea. When her lover, Adonis, was wounded by a wild boar, the stunning red rose was born from the mixture of his blood and her tears. The rose is the June birth flower. This stunning collage is a mix of burgundies, mauves, dusty pinks and whites, making this beautiful set of gift wrapping paper an excellent choice for weddings, anniversaries, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day or almost any special occasion.

Really good looking prints, I have used 1.5 of them, creating new art for my living room. I have sent a couple pics. Excellent printing on these. The colors are so vivid and clear, the feathers are like real life. There is never any transfer of dye when using for decoupage.
