Though black is usually associated with death or the darker side of human nature, it is not the only meaning black roses represent. They also represent the demise of old, bad habits or the end of a time that opens vistas for a new beginning. Some believe that black roses are symbolic of a tragic love but others believe they represent a deep, pure devotion that is as deep and rare and the black rose itself.
