Built by hand almost about 2000 years ago, the rice terraces in the Philippines are widely considered the "8th Wonder of the World". Depicted here are the terraces used as one of the illustrations at the back of the Philippines' 1000-peso bill. A native is seen working the fields in the middle of a warm summer day, just as her ancestors had done for generations before her.
