Winter Squash in Snow - Personalized Ceramic Tile

Winter Squash in Snow - Personalized Ceramic Tile

When South East England became a winter wonderland, not only, was the country landscape covered in snow but the crops too. Winter squash submerged in snow is rare, thanks to climate change over the past few decades. Moments like this make one miss the 1980s when this sort of thing could be taken for granted each year. LOCATION: Eastwell Park is a large parkland and country estate in Eastwell, about two miles south of the civil parish of Challock. Eastwell is a hamlet and civil parish approximately three miles north of Ashford; part of the county of Kent, the Garden of England, in the United Kingdom. FACTS: From 1940, during World War 2, the British Army took over Eastwell Park and used the site for training troops. In 1942, it became a secret testing ground for an experimental flame-throwing tank, known as the Churchill Crocodile, with a range of 100 yards. Prime Minister Winston Churchill inspected them on 20th November 1942. Top brass visitors including King George VI were also treated to demonstrations. This was all in preparation for D-Day, 6th June 1944.
