Winter’s Peace Ceramic Ornament

Winter’s Peace Ornament Each year, I choose one of my paintings to become a Christmas ornament, and this year’s selection is “Winter’s Peace.” I was inspired to paint the beautiful St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, a place that holds special meaning for my family. Many of my relatives worshipped there, and some still do today. My grandparents, along with several other family members, are buried beside the church, making it a place filled with cherished memories and deep family roots. For this winter scene, I paired the church with two cardinals perched among holly branches. Cardinals are often seen as gentle reminders of loved ones who have gone before us, bringing comfort and hope during the holiday season. The holly, with its evergreen leaves and bright red berries, symbolizes eternal life and the enduring promise of Christmas. Fresh snow blankets the churchyard, creating a peaceful setting as the vibrant cardinals stand out against the quiet winter landscape. The scene captures a sense of faith, remembrance, and reflection while celebrating the beauty of the season. “Winter’s Peace” is a tribute to family, faith, and the precious memories that remain in our hearts. My hope is that this ornament serves as a reminder of the loved ones we cherish, the traditions we hold dear, and the peace that Christmas brings. “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.” — Psalm 91:4
