About This Design

William Turner - The Sun Setting Through Vapour Square Wall Clock

William Turner - The Sun Setting Through Vapour Square Wall Clock

The Sun Setting Through Vapour, painted in 1809 in oil on canvas by British Romantic painter Joseph Mallord William Turner (J. M. W. Turner). The composition places fishermen and boats within a coastal scene dominated by the setting sun filtering through mist. The low light dissolves sea, sky and distant forms into warm atmosphere, anticipating Turner's lifelong fascination with weather, vapour and the power of light to transform a landscape.

Glad I found this online. Our cabin needed a clock yet, and we are very happy with it. Also knowing we helped a ‘small family business’ is a bonus as well. Thank you very much. Just what I was expecting Sorry the pic isn’t the greatest
