The design on this product was inspired by Bird, a William Morris floral wallpaper design dating back to 1878. The pattern was originally designed for the drawing room at Kelmscott House, the London home of Morris. William Morris (1834-1896) was an iconic English textile designer who lived during the Victorian period. He was a significant contributor to the revival of traditional British textile art and methods of production. Although best known in his lifetime as a poet, Morris is recognized as one of the most significant cultural figures of Victorian Britain.
