William Morris Vintage Blackthorn Pattern Fabric

This is a digitally enhanced print derived from an antique 1892 block printed Blackthorn pattern designed by William Morris. William Morris was a Victorian era poet, novelist, textile designer and an important figure of the British Arts and Crafts Movement. His designs had a medieval-inspired aesthetic and respect for hand-craftsmanship and traditional textile arts. He was the founding figure of Morris & Co., and Kelmscott Press. He was close friends to many Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Edward Burne-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. You can customize the size of the pattern. Although the default background colour is derived from the original design, you can customize this colour to fit your decor.

I purchased this thinking it was an actual William Morris fabric, but it appears to be photocopied onto material. I did not understand the scale (even though it was provided) nor did I understand what 'combed' cotton is (very stiff). Thankfully Zazzle has an excellent return policy. NA - rating it only so I can submit the review

I have eight senior dancers graduating from Fleet-Wood Dancentre this year, and I wanted to make them something special. Love this site, as there is such a selection that I was able to make eight unique dance totes for my dancers.....
