    This gorgeous teal (blue-green) and cream tulip pattern was designed by William Morris in the late 1800s and printed on fabric in the early 1900s. William Morris was a British textile designer, printer, artist, novelist, translator and socialist activist associated in the British Arts and Crafts Movement. He was influential in the revival of traditional British textile arts production. His work is also heavily associated with the Art Nouveau movement. A digital image of Morris's work is made available through public domain open access, courtesy of the Chicago Institute of Art.

    I was looking for a cheerful, vibrantly coloured, fun, extra large , MCM designed mug for my first coffee of the day. This fits the bill! The print is purrfect and the colours are SO vibrant. The design definitely gives a true MCM vibe. The placement of the art is the only negative for me. I would prefer the main image be on opposite sides of the mug, rather than placed so close together, and not able to be seen by the drinker (me!) or the person opposite me (if there is one :-).
