William Morris: Kennet Tablecloth

This elegant, understated blue, green and gold pattern comes from a length of plain weave cotton printed in the "Kennet" design -- named after a river in the south of England that flows into the Thames -- by the English designer William Morris (1834-1896) in 1883, now in the collection of the Cleveland Institute of Art (https://www.clevelandart.org/art/1937.698).
