The green and red Compton wallpaper design is by William Morris. William Morris designed wallpaper and textiles in the 1800s; this is one of his decorative floral designs that he produced in 1887. He was an English decorative designer, perhaps the most notable wallpaper designers of his time, a member of the pre-raphaelite designers. This mug was exactly as described. I have purchased the stainless steel one before and the white is a nice change (stainless steel inside). I found the lavender purple a little light for my liking but that's my fault. Next time I'll choose a more grapey purple.
