William Morris Acanthus with Monogram Tote Bag

The impressive Acanthus designed by William Morris in 1874 is one of his most instantly recognizable designs and marks the beginning of a period in which Morris created large-scale designs for wallpaper. With typical complex layering and vigourous curves the scrolling, acanthus foliage produces a three-dimensional effect. Shown here in blue, this design is also available in a lush green and gold. William Morris (24 March 1834 - 3 October 1896) was an English textile designer, artist and writer, associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and the English Arts and Crafts Movement.

Beautiful quality tote bag in a heavy coated canvas. Shoulder strap is perfect length. Graphics are absolutely beautiful. The printing was great. The pink and black were perfect but the green didn't print as rich in color.

INCREDIBLE! These bags are beautifully made with a thick canvas fabric, and a shoulder strap that hangs perfectly. This is the smaller of the two sizes that I ordered. So Impressed. The printing is immaculate. The colors are just as deep and rich as the online image display. These are excellent quality printing.
