Though he devoted more time to Dante and the Bible, Blake turned to Shakespeare on occasion. Oberon, Titania and Puck with Fairies Dancing is one of his most vibrant and dynamic illustrations. The work depicts the respective characters from Shakespeare’s comedy dancing with fairies in an enchanted wood. The illustration makes beautiful use of soft blues and greens.
