William Blake Beatrice Poster
William Blake Beatrice poster. Pen and watercolor illustration from 1824-27. English poet and artist William Blake spent his last years happily illustrating Dante’s Divine Comedy. His Beatrice Adressing Dante from the Car is a colorful work depicting the muse Beatrice greeting the poet Dante in Heaven. The work features an intriguing amount of symbolim. A whirlwind of angels serves as the wheel of the car, while a colorful griffin serves as its lead. Beatrice is surrounded by the four gospel apostles depicted metaphorically. Luke is depicted as the simple ox, mark a lion, John as an eagle, and Matthew as an echo of the Christ. A beautiful gift for fans of William Blake, Dante, The Divine Comedy, and English art.

My Bible verse postcard, turned out excellent. I love it and have it already framed. It was so reasonably priced for something done so well. Thank you to Zazzle and the artist! I thought it looked exactly like what I ordered. Perfect.

Poster is printed clearly, good quality . Inclusive of many prints .
The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown

Being a fan of Black Cats & history I learned about a cabaret during the Belle epoch (1870-1914) that featured a Black Cat advertisement poster.
I felt the need to own a piece of this history for myself. The printing is excellent and legible.
